MJP Management LLC and NW Ventures Group, Inc. Unite Under NWV Group Branding
New company seeks to offer an end-to-end client experience through development, construction and property management services.
Portland, Ore. — March 10th, 2022— MJP Management LLC and Northwest Ventures Group, Inc. today announced that the two companies are uniting under a shared brand identity as NWV Group. MJP Property Management was founded in 2005 by Mark Reed, who also founded Northwest Ventures Group, Inc in 2006 with longtime business partner Derrick Aragon.
Prior to the merger, MJP Management oversaw single and multi-family residential units and commercial units throughout Portland and the surrounding suburbs. At the same time, Northwest Ventures Group developed and built projects in all classes of real estate, including mixed-use, apartment complexes, infill, single-family and assisted living.
“Over the years, the two companies have collaborated on many of the same projects,” said Mark Reed, MJP Property Management and Northwest Ventures Group founder. “We’ll continue our work as we’ve been doing, but as we look toward the future, it makes sense to combine our efforts to create a more cohesive experience for our partners, clients and tenants.”
Traditionally, investors need to partner with several companies to shepherd a project from the design phase through occupancy. NWV Group can help investors navigate every project stage from conception to construction under a single umbrella for a lower cost. Once the projects have been built, NWV Group provides property management services as they currently do for a diverse group of owners and tenants.
“The Portland market is challenging right now,” said Reed. Costs are high on the construction side, making it harder for new endeavors to be profitable. At the same time, Portland landlords are navigating new legislation related to the COVID pandemic and statewide rent control measures. “We want to leverage our expertise in both areas to help our partners, customers and tenants thrive in this place we all call home.”
